SUMMARY
- The Product Manager will be responsible for leading the product lifecycle from conception through
commercialization. This role requires a deep understanding of the spine market, customer needs, and
competitive landscape to develop and execute strategies that drive market share and revenue growth. The
Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, sales,
marketing, regulatory, and clinical affairs to ensure product success in the global market
and report to the Sr Director Product of Marketing.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market research and competitive
analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the spine medical device sector. Assist in
developing and implementing strategic product plans and roadmaps to address market needs. - Product Development & Management: Partner with cross-functional teams in the development
of new products and the enhancement of existing products, ensuring projects are completed on
time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Oversee the product lifecycle, including ideation,
development, launch, and phase-out. - Regulatory & Clinical Affairs Collaboration: Work closely with regulatory and clinical affairs
to ensure products comply with all regulatory standards and achieve market authorization. Assist
in the development and execution of clinical trials and evidence generation strategies to support
product claims and market adoption. - Marketing & Sales Support: Develop comprehensive marketing plans, including positioning,
key messages, and launch strategies. Provide sales teams with product training, support materials,
and competitive intelligence to effectively promote the products. - Financial & Operational Performance: Monitor and analyze product performance, market
feedback, and financial metrics to make informed decisions on product pricing, inventory
management, and forecasting. Identify and implement initiatives to improve profitability and
market share.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree
(MBA, MS) preferred. - Minimum of two (2) to Four (4) years of product management experience in the medical device
industry, with a strong preference for experience in the spine sector. - Proven track record of successfully launching and managing medical devices in a regulated
environment. - Solid understanding of FDA and international regulatory requirements for medical devices.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate
with stakeholders at all levels. - Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time domestically, to support product launches, customer
visits, and participate in key industry events.
