V. Maria Caraballo leads the company’s Human Resources department, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Organizational Enablement functions. Maria brings more than 20 years of experience within the medical device industry, partnering directly with founders and executive teams across early-stage and scaling organizations.

Throughout her career, Maria has supported many organizations, including Appriva Medical, ShifaMed / Maya Medical, and Polares Medical, through various stages of company development, including early-stage buildout, scaling, acquisition, and merger. Her experience spans recruitment, employee operations, facilities, and operational infrastructure.

Maria has played a key role in scaling Providence's organizational infrastructure, supporting its growth from 25 to over 100 employees. She is recognized for her hands-on leadership style, operational execution, and ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. Maria is passionate about building practical, people-centered organizations where employees feel supported, valued, and connected to the company’s mission.
